Customer Reviews

Works Great with Enthoo Evolv TG works great in a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Tempered Glass case. the RGB button on the case works perfectly to sync LED strip color with that of the power button and HDD power light on the front. built in magnets are capable of securing it to the case, but I am having some issues where the LED strip seems to be trying to slide down the vertical edge of the case, resulting in some "humps" between the magnets where the strip pushed away from the case well a bit. I may end up running double-sided tape anyway to fix thisIt would have been nice if some effort was made to defuse the LED light a bit. as it is this strip leaves rather obvious spots where the actual diodes are, resulting in a bit of an uneven light with obvious spots (see image). 4Great for Cases with Limited Side Windows Overall, this is a "good enough" product. The LEDs are nice and bright with brilliant colors, and the silicone coating is a nice touch. However, the length and that thick coating result in a tricky combo. Making it turn corners cleanly can be an issue, and in doing so, can make the silicone separate from the strip itself (both at the ends and along the length of the strip). In a case with a side panel that covers a good amount of the edges, this isn't really an issue, you can hide those bends easily. But, in my Enthoo Pro M with a tempered glass side, there is just no way to get a clean looking install short of cutting the strip and adding in wiring for corners. I still like the silicone casing, but it would work much better if this strip was separated into multiple independent strips adding up to the same length. So, if you have a case that can hide such things, this is an excellent offering (especially on sale), but for those with full exposure of internals, it might be best to look into a kit that is comprised of shorter strips that can make the bends more cleanly. The magnets work pretty darn well, but the double sided tape isn't so great. The magnets are effective from both sides, so for those looking to see a glow more than individual LEDs, installing them with the LED side facing towards the case provides a nice, even glow. One star off for application specific issues and another for the casing starting to split pretty much right off the bat. 3Perfect size for S340 case! Ooooh these are nice! The LEDs have all the colors on each LED, they are not separate R G B LEDs like a lot of these strips. Install was super quick and simple using only the magnets on the strips (they do have adhesive as well). These fit very well in the NZXT S340 case. I ran one strip along the top, and one down the front. The LEDs themself are hidden from view but the light they put off really makes the case. Hooked it up to my ASUS Z270 Prime RGB Header and can control the lights with their AURA sync technology which syncs my MOBO, GFX Card, and these strips together. 5Do Not Use With Asus Aura These might be the best led lights made. For brightness, color and installation they are great. BUT if you need them to connect to a motherboard 12v rgb header don't bother. You can only connect one strip to any one header, they cannot be chained without creating a terrible ringing noise. Phanteks told me that: "The sound you hear is directly related to the frequency of the signal coming from your motherboard. Instead of a 100% signal the motherboard sends a certain frequency flashing the LEDs to reduce heat. The flashing is so fast the it is not visible to the eye."I am waiting to hear from ASUS about this fact but I think it is a lie. The halos don't make this sound, the digital (black) version of the strips do not make this sound when plugged in the 5v 3pin headers. So If you have a phanteks case that uses these lights; you are great but for any other application, forget them. Get the new digital version of the strips. They are a few bucks more but since they come packaged with the adapter it is easily worth it. 1Decent, but there are better options I decided to give these LED strips a try since it's from a pretty reputable company. My case is not magnetic, but it comes with adhesive. Unfortunately these adhesive are very weak, they're really more for reinforcing the strips on a magnetic case rather than an alternative to magnetic attachment. Despite this, I was still able to use the adhesive to just barely hold the strips in place. Out of the box the RGB arrangement on the wire matches MSI's Mystic Light, so you don't have to calibrate it. When it came to the actual LEDs on the strips, this is where I really got disappointed. The first thing I've notice is that the strips are not that bright. In a white case I'm sure they'll look fine, but in my black case they are very dim. With my smoked side panels you can barely see the glow. Not only that, the "white" color is really blue for some reason. I know that true white isn't possible because white on these LED strips is just all three colors combined. However, I recently got some Airgoo strips and while those are not calibrated for MSI's motherboard, the colors are much brighter and the white is surprisingly pretty white (just a bit on the cool side). These cost more than those, yet those strips worked a lot better in my case. For that reason alone, I cannot say this is an outstanding product. It gets the job done but unfortunately there are better options right now. 3Got the P400S? Get the 1M version. The 1 meter LED is all you need. Trust me. It covers 75% of the outside diameter of the P400S. I have it running from the right of the case, to the top, and the left. I didn't bother covering the bottom of the case since it's a very tight fit and the side window did curve a bit with the LED there (I tried to run it close to the PSU shroud, but the LEDs were being shown directly through the window and it's way too bright).Mine also came with magnets for easy setup in my case, however I do wish they were more densely populated on the LED strip, as some parts of the LED strip would bulge out a tiny bit.Positives: Magnets, works with the P400s LED controller.Neutral: Brightness (I can't stress enough how bright it is compared to my other LEDs in my setup)Negatives: Not enough magnets, very thick LED (won't easily fit in the nooks and crannies of your case) 4The light from this top strip will fill out the case nicely, so it doesn't matter to me how ugly ... These fit in a Cooler Master Trooper. One along the hard drive cage at the front (vertical) and one sandwiched between the 200mm top fan and the side of the case (horizontal).Note that the top strip has to be pushed in and fit on a trial-and-error basis. It won't lay entirely flat, nor will it run straight (see photo). However, you can't see that unless you're laying on the floor looking up at the top. The light from this top strip will fill out the case nicely, so it doesn't matter to me how ugly the mounting is. The magnets are enough to hold the strips to the inside of this case (I notice some reviewers have issues with the magnets). The adapter will plug into the ASRock X370 TAICHI RGB headers. Note that said adapter is rather tall, so if you have a card in the motherboard's bottom PCI-E slot that has a protruding heatsink like I do, you cannot use the bottom two RGB headers. You must use the one meant for the CPU fan. These strips work perfectly with ASRRGBLED. They don't just do your basic 7 colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink)--they can also display various hues of these colors unlike some "RGB" LEDs. Setting the color to black in ASRRGBLED turns them off. 5Well done Phanteks! You said goodbye substandard adhesive strips, and hello magnets. Thanks for listening! All I can say is: Phanteks obviously listens. I recently purchased the Entho Luxe case and was searching the Phanteks website when I saw the 2M LED strip accessory. After researching, watching videos, and reading reviews, I was very hesitant to buying the Phanteks offering. The reviews were almost universal; "The adhesive on the strip is sub-par." Having dabbled in LED here and there, I even considered just buying some LED Strip and doing it myself. Finally, I just said the heck with it and put in my order for the 2M strip from Phanteks. I received it today, and wow, they listened. No more adhesive strip (although some is included in the package). Rare Earth Magnets about every 5 inches are now attached to the strip. I cracked open my already assembled case, and after one trial and a little adjustment I had them installed and it fits and looks great!Well done Phanteks. Easy plug and play installation and it looks awesome. 5Great quality LED Strip Great 1m RGB LED light strip. Works well with MSI mystic, asus aura or if you have a phanteks case like the Enthoo Evolv you can just plug in the provided 12v cable and control the lighting from the front of the case. I personally have tried is with MSI Mystic but prefer the simplicity of using the default phanteks case button. The strip gives you the option of utilizing an adhesive strip (provided) or the magnets that come embedded inside the strip. I love the magnetic aspect since I feel adhesives over time and at some stage you will have an dangling led strip in your case which is not the best look.Overall this is a great led strip. The price ranges from $15-$22 and if you are fortunate to grab it at the low end of the cost spectrum than it is an amazing buy. Even at $22 its still great. The build quality seems to be pretty high but the only thing I have read in other reviews is aggressive bending or twisting can actually snap the rubber of it. I did not experience this myself however I can see how this could happen since the rubber surrounding the led is very thick and has a hard time fitting into certain crevices.Below are just some photos of two colors. I believe in total there are 10 different colors to switch to. 5Fit my case perfectly and are quite bright. I got these to go with my ASUS PRIME Z270-A motherboard and full tower Corsair 750D Airflow case. The package comes with two 400mm (~15.5") LED strips with magnets that stay put and an extension power cord so you can get the LED strips to the part of your case you want them. The LED strips are long enough that one fits perfectly along the bottom of my case and the other fits along the front. The second strip fits the front inner wall of the case perfect. I have a third single LED strip ordered which will run along the top completing the look. The power extension is longer than I need, so I have it folded and tied up.ASUS Aura software configures the strips with a variety of options (sound, temperature, patterns, and colors). The white setting has a bit of a blueish hue to it, but I heard Phantek released a new version with actual white LEDs on it a day or two after I bought these, so if you're after white I'd go with the new version. This kit fit my case perfectly and did exactly what I wanted though, so I'm quite pleased with it. I ordered a single strip for the top to finish out the look. 5
