Customer Reviews

NOT FOR PROFESSIONAL USE! This holster is pure garbage. As a Traffic Officer for a large department in a busy city, I purchased it for my Streamlight 88040 Pro Tac HL flashlight. Since I work traffic at night, my job requires that I place the flashlight in and out of the holster many times over the course of the shift. At first, it was a nice snug fit. However, within just a couple of weeks, the elastic on the holster had stretched to point that my Streamlight flashlight would constantly slide right through the holster and onto the pavement! It was not only embarrassing to have to keep picking up my flashlight from the ground, but also inconvenient; not to mention DANGEROUS when you re in the middle of directing traffic. It s possible that this holster may be adequate for someone who just keeps it in the holster most of the time. But if you need to place it in and out of the holster many times during your shift, it simply cannot handle it. I m now searching for a holster that really works; perhaps one made of hard plastic. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Meanwhile, my advice is stay away from this ridiculous contraption. 1Not expensive for how long it last and what it cost. I have been carrying one of these for almost 10 years. I usually get 2 - 3 years out of one wearing it everyday. My flashlight has a slightly larger head on it so i can use it for a while after the elastic stretches out and gets a little loose. If your flashlight is strait with no head on it you will have to replace it sooner. When not using it take the light out and it will last much longer i would think. Mine is always in the holster unless I'm using the flashlight. The swivel is a great feature. I sometimes use that as a third hand to point my light while I'm working on something. I work nights and fixing things in the dark is a large part of my job. I have had 3 of these and when this one wears out i will buy another. 5Not for quick movements Your flashlight will not slide into this holster. It will be a struggle to get it inside, and a struggle to take it outside. I tried to use this with the Anker LC90 and ended up returning both because this set up wasn't convenient or easy. The actual holster is super tight so you have to use two hands to get your flashlight inside. I still needed a flashlight and holster for work so I ended up buying a flashlight with a holster included that worked better and was cheaper overall. Like if you needed a very stationary holster then this is probably perfect. But I needed something I could whip out at a moment's notice. 2Flashlights are always handy...if you keep them handy! I have worn out 2 of these by using them on a daily basis on my utility belt. I love them! they fit my little flashlight so well, and keep it on even when I'm running, crouching, fighting, or otherwise. The only down side is when they start to wear out (as is the sad story with anything elastic in life), you get more and more likely to drop the flashlight. So, I was solving this by wrapping the flashlight cord around the holder until the falling out became way too frequent and I replaced it. But that took...at least 2 years of daily use.I recommend these to guys I work with all the time and they are always happy with it. 5This is a perfect buy for certain flashlight sizes! I own several flashlights with battery tube diameters ranging from one inch to 1 inches. I needed a belt holster to carry them and luckily I found this product. I liked how it expanded to hold flashlights of various diameters but most of the ones that I will use it with are close to the same tube diameter for the battery power cells. I don't hardly use many D cell flashlights any more as when I need a powerful light I use high intensity LED flashlights that use 18650 power cells that are rechargeable. Some of my flashlights can be long in that they can use three 18650 cells and I liked how this flashlight holster rotates so you can wear a flashlight with a larger head and long battery tube more comfortably. The ballistic nylon construction is nicely done and is rugged. The rotating belt clip locks into 8 positions and it works well. The manufacturer claims that this holster will also hold C and D Cell flashlights. I imaging it can but the fit would be very tight. I would think that if you used a D size flashlight in the holster that it would then be useless for a smaller mini Maglite or 18650 power cell flashlights as it would be stretched and it would no longer hold the small flashlights securely. I am also sure that you would have a difficult time inserting a D cell flashlight into the holster while wearing it. It would have to be stretched quite a bit.For what I use it for I am extremely happy with it and I recommend it to you. Please watch my video so you can get an impression of the holster and how I use it. I hope the video is useful to you. 5... had it about four months and I have nothing bad to say so far I've had it about four months and I have nothing bad to say so far. Well, unless I want to sound nit-picky.Pros:It's durableVery light weightStays on very securely on my beltcan easily slide to different positions on my beltWater repellantStretches to fit most EDC pocket torchesHolds my torch tightlyI like the swivel actionThe swivel action snaps into place and seems very sturdyIt keeps my torch out of my pocket (Otherwise was very awkward and uncomfortable)Cons?:Stays on very securely on my belt, haha (I find it a very slight pain to take off at the end of an exhausting day)I've used it plenty of times at work (six days on, 2 days off). I probably remove and insert my torch (Outlite A100, now my new Thorfire C8S) dozens of times per day and it still holds up with no signs of damage. The swiveling is very handy as I can walk at night with my torch facing forward, allowing for a visible path, hands free. It's also very handy when inspecting equipment when two hands are needed. All in all, I find it very useful and worth every penny. 5Way too snug and difficult to quickly and easily insert and remove the flashlight This Nite Ize Clip-On Flashlight Holster has a multi-layer configuration that creates hangup points when trying to insert and remove a flashlight (snagging the stretchy material or on the protruding flaps). The problem is further complicated by the fact that the elastic is extremely tight. It is awkward to get even a half inch diameter flashlight barrel into the holster. My 1" diameter flashlight can barely fit and when I succeed in getting it in, it takes both hands, a lot of twisting, finger wringing and it cannot be accomplished with the holster on the waist. Once you get it in, it is a lot easier to pull the flashlight out of the holster, and it can be done with one hand when the holster is clipped to the waist. But, it is still akward and can be prone to snagging on the way out if the barrel has ridges and if the flashlight is pulled out at a slight angle. Incidentally, it takes 2 hands to get the holster on and off of your belt too. If your flashlight has any sharp ridges that are designed to improve grip, forget about using this product. It is tedious to use and poorly designed for rigorous or even casual use. I purchase it for walking the dog in the evening, when I need to see to pickup his business. Something that is difficult to manage when your hands are otherwise occupied holding a leash and poop bag already. The only way I would recommend this product is if you typically need your flashlight handy but don't need to access it frequently if at all. If your flashlight is smooth and has a slightly tapered end it should be an order of magnitude easier to use and you might welcome the snug fit. Because your flashlight isn't going anywhere if the head is upright in the holster. It seems from other reviews that the elastic does not last. So perhaps the snugness is an intentional redesign to tighten it up, and one might find more utility with this product once it is worn-in a bit. I personally don't have the patience or time to fiddle with it any longer. Without the ability to test this with your flashlight before you buy it I do not recommend this product, but can't say I have found one that seems much better. 1... everything it said it would be but I would like to tell everybody about their wonderful customer service I ... The product was everything it said it would be but I would like to tell everybody about their wonderful customer service I had bought a conversion kit for a double a size mag light it did not work I sent it to them to get it to work I spoke to a representative her name is Judy Kang she could not get it to work so she offered me the same type of flashlight and she said is it okay that the switch is different and I said fine she sent me the light she seem to feel bad it was not exactly the Maglite and she sent me this wonderful letter saying it's bigger a little then my original Maglite and said a satisfaction is a main priority it turns out I looked on Amazon to buy a holster and found one by the same company I bought it but when I was looking I saw the same flashlight four four times more in price then the Maglite I recommend Night Ize to anybody who's interested in their products 5As Advertised, but too much hassle for me I bought two of these for my Molle Belt. One to carry a short 1" dia handle LED Flashlight and the other to carry my iTaste SVD2 vape unit. Though they will both fit and do hold the units just fine, they are very difficult to load in... easy enough to pull them out. I will use these at times, I'm sure, but are too much hassle to mess with most of the time. I will probably just leave the flashlight in the holster even when it's not on the belt and work it that way, though the sliding zoom on the light is affected somewhat. At least it's a place to keep it.As for the vaping mod, it is very very difficult to slide in and really is not worth the effort. As I say, I'll probably keep it there at times, but it's actually easier to just unclip the holster from the belt than to slide it out each time I want a puff.... but who wants to do that?? Could be I can use it to carry when I am NOT vaping... like walking through the parking lot to my car, but I still have my doubts.I won't return them, because they are to spec as advertised, but I can't see me using them much. 4Nice quality and sturdy, fits variety of sizes and rotates 360 degrees without removing it from the duty belt I had a hard time finding a flashlight holder that would hold a larger sized small flashlight that my husband uses for his job. This one did the trick perfectly. It has just the right amount of stretch to it to allow it to accomodate small to larger small (or small medium sized - I'm not quite sure how to describe the size - lol) sized flashlights without worrying that it will stretch out and become loose allowing the flashlight to fall out. Nice quality and look. The 360 degree reotation is icing on the cake. My husband loves that, while making rounds, he can pivot the holder to aim where he needs the light to go and it is hands free thereafter. 5
