Customer Reviews

Lux Metal T-adapter. I have nothing but good things to say about Luxe Bidets and have been using one in Florida for several months. I liked them so much I ordered four more for a couple residences we have in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Having several grand children running around up here I figured it would be a good idea to have shut off valves installed. I hasn't worked out very well. The first I installed worked with a little extra tightening. From then on the other three leaked at the 15/16" connection and not just a little. I actually ended up with tightening with a stilson wrench, to no avail, still leaked. It dawned on me I should be using a 7/8" hose not the ones supplied with the bidets. Down to Home Depot I went and purchased three, the hose connection to the T-adapter is not 15/16th", its 7/8". The installation went smoothly until I turned on the water. The connection was much better but still leaked a little and even tightening to its max it still leaked a small amount of water. I believe the washer in the hose does not snug up tight enough to the valve. I solved the problem by installing the vinyl connection that comes with the bidet and hope for the best when the grand kids are around. 1Didn't thread properly & leaked I purchased this as a recommended accessory to the Luxe Neo bidet -- however, this T-adapter could not be fully screwed on and leaked like crazy as soon as the water valve was turned on, and I came close to breaking my toilet when trying to tighten the connection with a wrench. I've given it 2 stars because the product is exactly as depicted in the photo, but I've now seen that other reviewers have complained about leaks and faulty design. When I removed this and replaced it with the plastic t-adapter that comes with the Luxe Neo kit, there were no problems - the plastic adapter screwed on easily and did not leak, even with only hand tightening.I would suggest that anyone considering this for initial installation of a Luxe Neo kit to simply try the supplied kit adapter first - the plastic adapter is extremely easy to put on (only took me about 4 minutes after having struggled for about half an hour with the metal part before giving up). If there are problems with the plastic adapter it could always be replaced & upgraded later on, but I think most people will save themselves time and trouble by just starting with the supplied kit part. 2A great addition to an almost perfect bidet I purchased the Luxe Metal T-adapter with Shut-off Valve along with Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self Cleaning Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (white and white) (see my review here: https://www.amazon.com/review/RT6IIBEODSE41). I had purchased a number of the bidets for family members and then finally for me. For their installations, I used the plastic T valve adapter. It works, but the pressure issue discussed in my review, as well as others', is a downside to a great product. When I finally installed mine, I purchased the metal adapter for increased pressure control. I also travel occasionally and like the idea of a shut-off valve instead of the "always on" aspect of the plastic one.The install was actually easier than with the included plastic adapter. It comes with a rubber gasket to ensure a tight and leak proof fit to the toilet tank connection and does not require Teflon tape. The connections have been absolutely leak free. Simply finger tighten each connection as mush as you can, rotate the valve to it's final position, and finish tightening an additional 1/2 turn with a wrench fin ensure a tight fit.I found the a little less than 45 degrees is the "sweet spot" to ensure that the toilet tank fills properly and the pressure is regulated nicely to the bidet so you avoid accidentally pressure washing your now perfectly pampered pucker. If you get a Luxe Bidet, get this as well. Your sparkling clean and shiny hiney will appreciate it. 5the neo 120 can be painful without water pressure adjustment =) I am going to ... I had an issue when installing this on my neo 120 I ordered this bidet and adapter twice and both times they leaked between the body and nut that connects to the toilet tank. I ended up using the plastic T both times but after the second bidet install yesterday I noticed the top fitting actually screws on to the body and can detach completely. I was working in such close quarters i did not have room to spin the entire T to tighten it. I had to use a wrench to tighten the T to my toilet tank winch i suspect caused the nut to unscrew from the body possibly causing the leak. The T itself is much higher quality than the plastic one in the kit and is adjustable, the neo 120 can be painful without water pressure adjustment =) I am going to retry the metal T this weekend and will update review to 5 star if it works 4Worked Great . . . Doing Two Critical Things Used with Bidet Neo 120 and Kohler toilet. Worked great. Key to avoid headaches: don't use plumber's tape and hand tighten only. Went through two T's before a company, Korky, instructed "no tape and hand tighten." That's the key. Not one drop from the connections following those instructions. I thought it very important to pass that on. Also, and this should go without saying, get the T straight with the connections and the threads in sync. By the way, the T is top quality. For my application, Neo and Kohler, perfect. 5don't tighten it too much I bought both this Luxe T-adapter and also the "Bella Bidet Solid Brass Metal T-adapter" and used them with the Neo Bidet 180 (I put one in each of our two bathrooms). The Luxe is much higher quality. The screw-on parts are longer on the Luxe. After you screw on the top to the connection at the bottom of your toilet tank, this T-adapter still swivels freely, so you can have your opening and also your shut-off valve right where you want them. That works really well, so you can connect the flexible metal water tube over to the bidet. Make sure you have everything lined up correctly, and don't screw this on crooked. Also, tighten it all by hand, and then give just a little tightening with your wrench. If you tighten it too much, it will leak! The little post sticking out is the water pressure valve for the bidet, not for the toilet tank. If you keep the post straight down, that is off (no water getting through to the bidet). If you turn the post all the way up, it will stick out to the side, perpendicular. That is full water pressure. We found that the water pressure was too strong when on full. So, this allows you to adjust the water pressure to just what you like. The bidet allows you to further control the water pressure, too. I highly recommend getting this T-adapter with the Neo Bidet 180 (or any of the Neo bidets, I think they all attach the same way). Just make sure you line it up carefully, and don't tighten it too much. I am in my mid-60's, and had no trouble attaching this with no leaks. (after I managed to get myself down on the floor!) My son and husband are very strong, and both of them ruined T-adapters by tightening them too much. You don't have to be strong to attach this. 5Your water supply line may or may not thread onto this I bought this to use with my luxe bidet neo 185 and I read all the reviews before and it seemed like there were a good amount of people having an issue where the water supply line doesn't thread onto this adapter right but I figured I would give it a shot anyways......well I have the same issue. I tried forever to get my water supply line threaded onto this and it will thread on just a tiny bit and will stop and of course leak all over because it's not threaded all the way on like it should. So I thought it was probably just my water supply line not compatible somehow with this adapter. So in the box with my luxe bidet neo 185 they give you another 12" braided mesh water supply line in case you need it and I tried to connect that to this adapter and same issue, it will thread on the first few threads then stop. So even the companies own water supply line will not thread onto their own T-adapter.I took this T-adapter to Home Depot and went to their toilet plumbing section and tried threading on multiple different water supply lines to see if any would fit and some actually threaded all the way on like it's suppose to but most didn't. The specs of the ones that actually fit are the same as the ones that didn't, so the threads on this T-adapter are picky which is why the reviews are either bad or great for this T-adapter.I ended up using the plastic T-adapter that came in the box with my luxe bidet neo 185 and it threaded on perfectly fine with my water supply line hose and there have been no leaks or anything. So I'm returning this metal T-adapter to Amazon, I wish I could have used it!(EDIT) 4/27/2015I wanted to update this review with what I did, I wanted to get a working metal T-Adapter so I bought the one linked below and it works awesome, I just installed it and everything threaded on perfectly and no leaks or anything. It has an on/off lever just like this one so you can completely shut off the cold water supply going to your luxe bidet. So if you're looking for metal t-adapter avoid this luxe t-adapter and go with the "Aquaus Toilet Adapter/T-Adapter" here on amazon, $5 more but totally worth it. Here is a link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UO1O4HU 1The design is faulty. If you look inside the ... The design is faulty. If you look inside the threading where this T-Adapter attaches to the water supply (the bottom threading on the picture), you will see that there is just a tiny hole for the water to go through. This caused leaking due to the inability of this t-adapter to handle pressure. This is a faulty design, where the water inlet and water outlet (to tank) should have been a straight pass through, and the shut-off valve should have been on the side, instead of the shut-off valve reducing the size for which the water passes through to a hole the size of a pea. I will try to post a picture of what I mean. 1Needs Some Re Engineering! I brought the Luxe bidet and I don't really care for the plastic fittings in an order to save cost. I read some of the reviews and noted that some people had problems with the T adapter leaking. I have now joined that exclusive club! What should have been adequate tightening only provided a shower when turning the supply line back on. I tightened the nut going to the toilet fill stem and was met with the same results. I removed the fitting and examined the washer and found a groove around 3/4 of the washer. Since this is a new toilet that didn't leak with the new supply line or the Luxe bidet plastic adapter, I can only suspect that somehow the top of the valve seat is not plumb. Since I didn't want to put back the plastic adapter, I took the washer from the Luxe bidet adapter and added to the existing washer in the T-adapter. I tightened the adapter and when I turned the water back on I got a steady stream of water. I tightened the T-adapter to the point that the fill valve was turning. When I turned the water back on, no leaks. What should have been a 10 minute job turned in an hour ordeal. I think Luxe does a disservice to their customers by not providing a metal tee adapter, and then when you buy their poorly engineered metal T-adapter at extra cost, you have to jury rig to get it to stop leaking. Since this in the only metal adapter that had somewhat decent ratings, I'm not going to return it as there is no way I trust the original plastic adapter. 2Defective - DO NOT BUY! After reading reviews complaining about the quality (sturdiness) of the plastic T-fitting supplied with the Luxe 120 and 180 Bidets, I thought it would be wise to buy this product. When the 1st one arrived, I thought that I should verify that the parts all fit together as they should before actually installing the bidet. I'm glad I did because the supplied supply pipe absolutely wouldn't fit on the metal T. About 3 or 4 threads engaged (even though the pipe attached perfectly to the plastic T) and that was it. I availed myself of Amazon's excellent return policy and returned the item and ordered another. Two days later, the 'replacement' T arrived and was discovered to be as defective as the first one. Not wanting to make a career out of quality testing the metal adapters, I'm giving up and using the plastic adapter. 1
