    Easy to Install and Inexpensive. Unfortunately, about the only place you can get these are on the internet and as Mitsubishi no longer makes this type rear-projector TV, they will be harder and harder to find. 3I understand these bulbs are pretty hit and miss when it comes to quality I purchased this replacement lamp about a month and a half ago and it just went out yesterday. I understand these bulbs are pretty hit and miss when it comes to quality, but on average (when I get lucky) the bulbs last approximately a year. The fact that this bulb couldn't make two full months tells the tale of the tape--don't buy it. 1I ordered this replacement bulb in December so we would ... I ordered this replacement bulb in December so we would have it in advance. 2 nights ago we finally needed the new bulb we received. My husband replaced the bulb and 2 days later I was watching TV I heard a loud popping sound. The tv went black, I turned it off then back on again. I had sound but no picture so the bulb sent must have been defective 3My TV is like new again One of these I am going to just get a new TV and stop wasting money on these lamps but knock on wood, this one has lasted the longest. And at the price, its a steal. My TV is like new again. It is a little noisy but the sounds gets washed out once you start watching TV 4Works Well This is the fifth lamp we've purchased for our seven year old WD-57731. The TV is still going strong and while it does not have the performance of the latest TVs, it is doing well enough. At the moment it would appear that we'll keep the TV until it fails.The last lamp I put in, a Mitsubishi 915P049010 OEM PROJECTION TV LAMP EQUIVALENT WITH HOUSING, was a pain to install and lasted less than 7 months. I rated it at 2 stars and that was generous.This lamp installed easily and is working fine. It cost double what the previous one did, but hopefully it will have a longer life. 5Glad I found it As I have a 5 yr old 57" DLP and was afraid when the lamp went out that was it. I was so happy see this item and be able to purchase it. It arrived in 3 days and packaged perfectly, fit right in the TV, no fuss-no muss. TV turned right on and not a single problem. I took a small chance when I ordered as I really needed more than 1 view to make sure it was the proper replacement lamp--so website needs to add a couple more views, I nearly did not order it. Have had to replace the bulb several times in my tv and it was starting to get a little expensive, I was pleasantly surprised to find one this cheap because its always an expensive purchase every few years. I popped the old one out this one in and had my tv back working within 5 minutes. 5Overall I am happy with the product received This is the 2nd bulb I've purchased for my TV from this seller. Overall I am happy with the product received; however, the only negative thing I will say about this item is after I put it in my TV and turned it on, there was an overwhelming smell of burning plastic I didn't experience with my first purchase. Its since gone down, but there is still a small hint of the smell. The picture hasn't been affected. 4After several months, still going strong. It's been several months already and the bulb is still going strong. I'm glad there are more reasonable options now. I purchased this for my older Mitsubishi 57" DLP tv. 5Excellent value The lamp unit in our Mitsubishi 57" DLP has needed to be replaced for several years, however when I last checked the price the replacement unit was several hundred dollars, so we decided that we would run it until it dies and replace with a new TV monitor. It was temporarily moved into the kid's play area (huge screen for a small space) for use with their Wii.Finally, just after the holidays, the unit wouldn't turn on anymore. We were going to list it on the local swap shop "as is, come get it", but just before we did I decided to check pricing one last time and was very happy to see this unit and seller at right around $50. What have we got to lose?Package arrived 4 days after I ordered it. The entire lamp housing swap process involved just three screws and two minutes. New housing fit perfect. Plugged in, turned on and saw a big, bright, beautiful picture. Unless something else goes, the kids will have a big screen for video games for many years to come. Good job. 5
